It will look at the connections and links that this field has with other fields, for example, in applied social studies, in community studies, in equality studies, in labour history and within the women�s movement, and within other social movements.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: contextualize their work with adults with the background of the story of adult education in Ireland. contextualize their work with adults with the background of the story of adult education in the wider world. review the development of policy in adult education in Ireland, from the response of the Catholic Church to workers education, to the emergence of feminist education and women�s community education. explore their own areas of interest in policy development or in a vision for the future direction of the field.
