Module ETHNOGRAPHIC SUMMER SCHOOL

Module code: AN250
Credits: 5
Semester: S
Department: ANTHROPOLOGY
International: No
Overview Overview

This module will expose students to the practice of fieldwork. Located in a Spanish village and coinciding with a festival, the module explores potential research projects and the practical experience of doing ethnography. In an attempt to bridge the gap between anthropological theory and ethnographic practice, seminars will introduce students to local history, culture, and politics, but students will engage in developing research strategies outside the classroom on the streets of the village. The aim of this module is to explore the multiple opportunities available for research projects in a real location.
