• Understand material culture and creativity in cross-cultural perspective
• Show detailed knowledge of the diverse histories of design
• Understand the different definitions of design and the importance of different interpretations
• Show evidence of having acquired scholarly skills of interpretation and analysis and have reflected on the fieldwork experience with particular reference to material culture, creativity and design

• 100% continuous assessment, using a variety of assessments, from in-class reviews and presentations to a terminal essay of no less than 3,000 words.

• Pass standard: 40%
