This course introduces students various aspects to the literatures and cultures of China. Students will learn key Chinese words and phrases of each aspect, read some selected major works both in English and Chinese, look at aspects of Chinese visual culture, and explore these main topics in their historical and cultural context. These topics include: Chinese Philosophy and Religion, Literatures, Chinese Medicine, Education, and Films, etc.
