Value and objectives of Software Testing, types of Testing, test methods, testing in the Software Development Process, testability, automation of Software Testing. Topics: Introduction to software testing. Software quality, software faults and failures, phases of testing. Incremental and integration testing, unit testing, whitebox and blackbox testing, system, acceptance, and regression testing. Coverage-based techniques, mutation testing, equivalence testing and boundary value analysis. Cause-effect graphing. Walkthroughs and inspections. Object Oriented software testing.
