Macroeconomics addresses economic issues at an aggregate level. It studies the way in which the economy as a whole behaves. Emphasis is placed on the measurement of living standards, economic growth, inflation and unemployment. Topics covered included the causes and consequences of fluctuations in economic activity, the role of monetary and fiscal policies, and the effects of globalisation on a national economy. |
