This course will follow an individual from birth through to death to show how economics can be used to study most of the key issues they face. Topics covered include health & risky behaviour, fertility & marriage, labour supply, education & early childhood development, labour demand & minimum wages, immigration, active labour market policies & unemployment, wage discrimination, unions, inequality and retirement. Where possible topics will reflect current developments in the Irish labour market. |
