• Analyse the implications of own attitudes, values, beliefs and assumptions in relation to issues of relevant policies and best practice;
• Identify the personal qualities and skills needed to be an effective early childhood educator and Identify learning and personal development goals;
• Develop communication approaches that will assist in their personal and professional lives;
• Establish an e-portfolio to develop skills of reflective practice and personal and professional learning;
• Develop academic skills to critique and synthesise information from a range of material and write appropriately, following the conventions of language usage, applying the conventions of Harvard referencing;
• Engage in discussion with other adults and identify learning from consensus and / or disagreement;
• Outline concepts of team working and team roles, reflect on personal strengths and challenges as a team member, and engage with skills development for team working;
• Consider the skills necessary to enable them to give and receive feedback in an effective manner.
