This module will develop the student’s competency in English necessary for teaching across all ages in the primary classroom. Students’ entry level competency in English will be assessed at the start of the first semester and this will be used in supporting students to identify and meet their own learning targets. Students will develop competency and confidence around the use of relevant concepts, skills and terminology. This English Competency course is delivered within consecutive lecture weeks in Semester 1. There are no set texts for this module. Students will be set independent tasks between sessions. |
