On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:
-
1. Analyse transient behavior in DC circuits containing resistors, inductors and capacitors.
-
2. Express a sinusoid in phasor form.
-
3. Analyse simple one-loop AC circuits to determine complex currents and voltages.
-
4. Determine the power in a simple circuit.
-
5. Build simple two and three-loop circuits on a breadboard.
-
6. Connect up power supplies, signal generators and oscilloscopes.
-
7. Simulate simple circuits using Electronics Workbench.
