Module ENGINEERING DESIGN EXERCISES

Module code: EE221
Credits: 5
Semester: 1
Department: ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
International: Yes
Overview Overview

Design exercise 1a will introduce students to Matlab programming (W1-W6)
Design exercise 1b will introduce students to Embedded Systems (Adruino board)

The module co-coordinator will select the projects for these exercises from a number of technical areas. The exercises can be categorized as being single-area expertise or multidisciplinary (including topics areas outside of Electronic Engineering ).

The modules can either be a set of challenges that need to be overcome in a structured manner, or a scenario where students are given an objective and asked to progress it independently in the form of a mini-project.

Students are required to maintain a written record of their work during the design exercise. This will need to be handed up to form part of the supervisors assessment (attached as an appendix to your report - photocopied sheets if necessary).
