Aim:
To introduce the principal concepts of wireless communications and some of their current applications in mobile communications and healthcare devices.

Indicative Syllabus
*Components of a modern wireless communication system: transmitter and receiver architectures, smart antennas, software -defined radio, cognitive radio, baseband processors.
*Digital modulation, access techniques and channel capacity.
*Multi-rate digital signal processing techniques.
*Wireless signal propagation in mobile communications and body-centric applications.
*Cellular radio systems.
*Security in wireless communication systems.
*Internet of Things and Cognitive Radio
