	Overview
	The primary goals of this course are: - to familiarise students with the key concepts and debates that shape the field of contemporary literary migration and mobility studies; - to examine how gendered mobility and migration is represented in contemporary literary texts; - to encourage students to ask critical questions about the interrelationships between gender, migration and mobility and literary textual practices.

The primary goals of this course are:
- to familiarise students with the key concepts and debates that shape the field of contemporary literary migration and mobility studies;
- to examine how gendered mobility and migration is represented in contemporary literary texts;
- to encourage students to ask critical questions about the interrelationships between gender, migration and mobility and literary textual practices.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Summarise in broad terms key trends in the development of literary migration and mobility studies and conceptualisations of gender within those trends. Identify and explain the main aspects of gender representations in literature of migration and mobility, and analyse closely a selection of texts. Interpret literary works through close reading and contextualisation. Critically evaluate secondary literature. Research, develop and articulate in writing a balanced and well-structured argument.
