The course provides opportunities for learners to achieve and demonstrate the following learning.

In depth Knowledge and Understanding of:
• the role of peace, religion and diplomacy within international conflict resolution.
• different concepts/ competing definitions of religion, the origins of diplomacy, theoretical, historical and empirical analysis for a deeper comprehension and perspective on today’s world
• the role of international organisations, UN, EU, etc. multilateralism in the 21st century and the need for diplomacy at an international level
• perspectives of faith based actors in crisis prevention, alternative approaches to religiously based involvement in restorative justice, reconciliation and peacebuilding initiatives
• a whole of society approach to peacebuilding, inclusivity, solidarity, dialogue and justice in terms of reframing the agenda of diplomacy and international affairs
