Module ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR AND MANAGEMENT

Module code: MN155
Credits: 7.5
Semester: 2
Department: BUSINESS
International: Yes
Overview Overview

Every individual spends most of his/her life in organisations. Everyone’s work life involves working with, in, or for organisations, and, potentially, creating one’s own organisation. Everyone’s life is also full of managing – from the daily practice of organising yourself, to organising others to undertake individual and group activities to achieve organisational objectives. The aim of this module is for students to develop a better understanding and appreciation of the different human-related elements that influence organisational behaviour and management, leading to a better appreciation of why and how people and groups behave in organisations, and how management practices may influence and direct their behaviour towards achieving organisational goals. The module will consider what shapes the behaviour of people in organisations and how their behaviour can be influenced.
