In this module students will learn about the tools, process and mindset appropriate for radical innovation. Innovation will be defined and described in its different forms, with special attention to design driven innovation. Students will learn a set of generic design skills suitable for application in wider innovation initiatives beyond product to include service and business model innovation. Topics covered in this module include; an introduction to innovation, radical innovation process and factors, techniques in user centered research, research data analysis and synthesis, ideation, and idea evaluatuion and selection.
