• Identify the main tales in the mythological cycle of Early Medieval Irish literature.
• Consider the central characters and appraise their respective roles in the tales of the mythological cycle.
• Recognise textual, intertextual and narrative complexes in early Irish literature and their relationship to wider contexts in Celtic and Indo-European mythology and literature.
• Critically and independently analyse narrative features and their literary implications in specified tales.
