This module explores philosophical perspectives on a number of ethical issues in contemporary social policy, including moral dilemmas and choices, and the boundaries between the public and private spheres, society and nature.

As this is a 2.5 Credit module (2 hours per week), please note that this module will commence in the seventh lecturing week of semester 1 and will run for six weeks. A separate module runs for the first six weeks of semester 1. While these two modules share a time slot consecutively, they are independent of each other and students may choose to take one or both modules.
