In this module, students will explore Latin American literature and culture from two different angles: literary and filmic representations of the modern Latin American city, and encounters with the strange and the uncanny in art and fiction from the region. The course will draw on a range of literary, filmic and artistic texts, with a particular focus on works from Argentina and Mexico.
