This course will encompass both English to Spanish and Spanish to English translation. A variety of texts will be used: literary, historical, commercial, technical. While the focus will be on the written word, some interpreting will be included in the course. In addition to practical exercises, consideration will be given to theoretical, linguistic and cultural questions posed in translating and interpreting. |
