The texts to be examined will include a combination of fiction, film, television, and journalism, including popular accounts of true crime. Students will have the opportunity to explore how storytellers throughout the region have used these popular forms as a vehicle for navigating the complex terrain of modernity and globalisation, and to explore a wide variety of social and political concerns.
