The module builds students’ knowledge of social policy and how it is developed and implemented in Ireland and Europe. It includes an overview of the policy-making and legislative processes and the relevant institutional and administrative frameworks, while also enabling students to adopt a critically informed perspective on social and public policy. This module explores theories and concepts of social policy development and implementation and how they relate to social work practice. |
