Students: Please note: You must choose at least 4 (if doing a research project) or 5 (if doing a literature project plus advanced practicals) CORE SUBJECT MODULES from the lists below by the completion of your studies, plus any others to make up the required number of credits for your degree. Biomedical Science: In order to graduate with a BSc Biomedical Science degree you must have a minimum of 35/60 credits in this area. This figure can be made up with credits from lecture modules, research project, literature project/Advanced practicals. In all cases the Seminar series (BI 420) and the Research methodology (BI421/422) are generic and count as either Biomedical or Biological. BI420 and BI421 are compulsory modules. Students are required to take either BI445 or BI447 or BI448 OR BI423 AND BI425. Optional Modules: Students must choose either 3 or 4 modules from Semester 1 AND either 3 or 4 modules from Semester 2. CORE SUBJECTS: BI403, BI406, BI410, BI411, BI435, BI440, BI441. SEMESTER 1 BI407 cannot be taken with BI411. SEMESTER 2 BI440 is timetabled against BI436. BI406 cannot be taken with BI443. Notes for registration 1. You must ensure that a minimum of 35 credits (out of 60 in fourth year) are in the Biological Science area if you wish to graduate with a Biological Science degree. 2.
