This module ensures students had a working experience of electronic, computer and telecommunications engineering as practised in a representative,
modern industrial or commercial environment.
Available Placements
Placements are made available through:
• The Placement Office on behalf of the Department of Electronic Engineering in consultation with companies and enterprises, both national and international
• The Department of Electronic Engineering in consultation with companies and enterprises, both national and international
• Individual students, where the student has made private contact with an engineering company or enterprise. In order to propose a placement, students should furnish a one-page proposal, containing:
- Own name
- Company name and address
- A brief job description (1/2 page)
- Name and contact details of contact in company
• The Department of Electronic Engineering, which may, from time to time, have vacancies for undergraduates on a variety of research (or other) projects.

Selection/Assignment of Placements
•All other placements will be assigned on a strictly competitive basis, in line with normal recruiting procedures, as follows:
- Listing of available placements (available from the MU Placement Office)
- Expression of interest by students in particular placements
- Submissions of CVs by students to co-ordinating office
- Shortlisting by companies
- Interviews by companies
