• Understand basic issues and debates in the European economy.
• Identify cultural issues in France, Germany and Spain and their inteface with Economic policy.
• Distinguish between the cultural milieux of the three countries.
• Appreciate the implications for the three nations of closer Economic and Cultural integration of Europe.

• Twelve seminar-style contact hours (one per week).

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded

• Pass standard: 40%

• One-and-a-half-hour written examination
• University scheduled written examination (Autumn): 90 minutes
