The aim of the module is to develop a critical understanding of gender, identity and inclusion in the context of development processes and practices and everyday lived experience.
The module will explore the theoretical debates on gender and identity and critique the gendered experience of development.
The tools and policies to address diversity and inclusion will be examined, and their successes and failures unpacked, with reference to contemporary theory and to students own experience.
