Includes the laws on contracts, torts and intellectual property rights, as applicable in a corporate context, as well as the design of private, public and community/voluntary organisations and the creation of appropriate legal structures. Critical topics include: characteristics of a company, formation, incorporation, internal structures, separate legal personality, and directors' duties. The regulatory (both Irish and EU) environment is also examined.
Any aspect of this module may be changed in any given academic year, subject to the discretion of the module lecturer.
