As a focussed 5-week pre-sessional programme, the MLEAP12 module presents students with the opportunity to improve their English language skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking to a level consistent with IELTS 6.0 for undergraduates (CEFR mid B2) and 6.5 for postgraduates (CEFR high B2). In addition, MLEAP12 prepares the students for the taking of an IELTS-type exam in order to demonstrate attainment of the above IELTS score bands, and so gain entry to their offered degree programmes at Maynooth.*
*MU degree offers are made on the condition that undergraduate and postgraduate students will have attained an overall IELTS score band of 6.0 and 6.5 respectively, in order to be admitted to their offered programmes of study.
