Module ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS DESIGN PROJECT

Module code: PD154
Credits: 7.5
Semester: 2
Department: DESIGN INNOVATION
International: Yes
Coordinator: Trevor Vaugh (DESIGN INNOVATION)
Overview Overview

This module provides students with the ability to solve real world problems using embedded electronic systems through an engineering design led process to build and develop 'works like' and 'looks like' prototypes through iteration. Through demonstration and project based learning the students will develop their engineering design processes to select electronic components and sensors to perform actions based on captured data. The students will then further develop their prototypes to improve and develop their project based on user feedback.

Upon completion of their final prototype, the students will demonstrate their project, discussing and defending their design decisions and explaining in detail the inner electronic workings of their project.
